Anti-Reflective Coating is a multi layer coating that is applied to
lenses to reduce glare. There are benefits to an anti-reflective
coating, although over time, the coating may become scratched and
cloudy. The defective coating can be removed to leave a scratch-free
lens.
The
removal process involves the AR coating being chemically removed. The
process is very effective and is normally completed and returned the
same day.
After the AR coating is removed, it can be treated as a lens
that was never coated. A defective AR coating can be identified by
slight hairline scratches and the inability to clean the lens. Removal
of the AR coating can add a whole new life to your lenses.
